Assignment #11 - CULTURE

Explain one specific aspect of the culture described in the book.  Tell how it compares to a specific culture you are familiar with. (paragraph form)

  1. The culture could be gang culture. Some people go into different groups. They don't get along with certain people. This could compare to Canada. The reason is that we are multicultural. Some people in Canada may act like that. Some might be in a gang. That is how our cultures can compare.

  2. @ Everyone - Think about the culture between the two different groups in this novel - SOCS and GREASERS. What are the differences? Similarities? Do you have any connections with either of these groups?

  3. The culture in the outsiders is Greasers and Socs. There are many differences such as Socs are popular and rich and Greasers are not. And a similarity is Socs and Greasers are both gangs.

  4. Two cultures in the outsiders are the greasers and the socs. Some similarities are that they are both gangs and they both cause trouble between each other. some differences are that the socs are rich the greasers are not and the greasers have long hair and the socs dont.

  5. The cultures in this novel are the Greasers and the Socs. These two cultures and very different but also the same. They are the same because both cultures take care of each other. They always have each others backs. The cultures are different because the one culture who are the Greasers are poor and and the Socs culture is rich. In our culture we also have the rich and the poor but we also have a culture called the middle class.
